The best thing about Ocean is its proximity to the ocean.
The coast offers one of the most spectacular views in Japan: Awaji Island, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and the wide open sky and ocean,
It is only a 4-minute walk to the sandy beach of Azure Maiko.
You can go to the beach in your bathing suit.

In front of Sanyo Kasumigaoka Station, there are “Ocean”, a mixed gender building, and “Rainbow”, a women-only building, just a 1 minute walk from the station.
And “Garden”, a women’s only building, is a 4 minute walk from the station.
There are 11 share mates living in close proximity to each other in the three buildings.

Ocean and Rainbow are less than a 30-second walk from each other, and are 6 houses next door, so you can bring your own pots and pans with you when having dinner parties.
The Garden has a garden that can be used for a farm, and Rainbow has space for many planters in the back of the house,
Ocean also has a large veranda on the second floor, so you can grow your favorite vegetables and herbs in each building while living in town,
They can exchange well-grown vegetables and herbs with each other, or harvest them from the garden and share them during dinner parties.
The activities of the Worakui Forest Garden Department’s “The Garden Becomes a Forest for Living Project: Creating a Garden You Can Eat” have been started in November 2018 and is recommended for those who are interested in vegetable gardening.

About Shared Space

The shared space has a kotatsu desk for entertaining and overlooks the vegetable garden space in the garden.
The kitchen has a stainless steel sink with a spacious cooking area, and two refrigerators.
A rack with a share corner is lined with tea and seasonings that someone has put there for everyone.
There is a place to put ingredients and seasonings for your own exclusive use and a place to put those that are “open for everyone to use”.

Vegetable garden space for everyone / A garden where you can grow vegetables and herbs

We used to grow radish, mini-tomatoes, lemon balm, etc.
If you want to grow vegetables or flowers, please do!
We also hope to plant fruit trees in the future.

Ocean has a second floor balcony where you can line your planters.
There is also a large vacant lot behind Rainbow where you can enjoy a vegetable garden.
